Who's in bed with Texas with the Big horn network? ESPN. They're only pumping up the Big whatever because they've sunk so much money in the Texas tv network.

ESPN Conference Rankings...SEC #2?
All the more reason why the Big 12 should hang pat. A&M could easily be replaced to maintain a relatively easy path to a BCS game for OU and Texas. Heck, Okie St. might even luck up and make it to the Fiesta Bowl one year.

The Big XII isn't breaking up because it's not a good league. It's easily the 2nd best league in the BCS Era.
It's breaking up because of The University of Texas

Ok, before everyone starts foaming at the mouth, the list was made based on the performance of THIS YEAR. SEC teams are 22-4 OOC, and the Big 12 is 23-2. Also, the point differential is minimal (less than 2 points) between the SEC and the Big 12 THIS YEAR. The next highest conference is about 30 points below the rest. This by no means invalidates the fact that the SEC has been the best conference over the last ten years, but based on this VERY small set of data for this year, the Big 12 has performed ever so slightly better according to their methodology. I have no qualms with that. I am pretty sure that the Big 12's ratings will go down as the season progresses.

Not really.
I would put the Pac about equal to the Big 12.
