ESPN basically has the media rights to the ACC?

Why would they destroy that conference? And allow FSU and Clemson to the SEC?

Same reason they destroyed the Big12 - they can get the big markets for cheaper if they don't pay all the feeder teams. They are going to save millions of dollars when they go from paying teams like Baylor 20 million(P5 contract) or more a year down to only about 2-3 million(G5 contract)

If I was the fan of a lower market SEC team, I'd be somewhat worried honestly. Not just about being kicked out of the SEC 10 years from now because they don't bring enough market, but also because they are bringing in programs that are likely going to do better than they are, making everything more difficult for them.

And all your presidents voted in favor of this because ESPN promised them more money today.

I know what some are going to say - the SEC will never kick out founding members like Vandy. And until recently I would have said the same shite. But it's clear now that tradition does not mean a fricking thing to these people.

Hope this is the answer and it gets worked out WELL before 2035. Selfishly it can’t be that long or really much longer than this series of events now for it not to have significant damaging effects for both programs.

You get it, it is pure and simple it is all about money!

Now the bean counters are going to tell everyone what they will watch going forward.
