My cherry picked date was chosen because LSU won their last national championship in 2007. We could pick the year 2007, since that's the year Saban started at Bama...but tell me what LSU's record against lowly Arkansas since 2007 is.
My cherry picked statistics fit into the framework of my argument for tDecline. If yours are arguing against that, then that's fine. But my cherry-picked numbers are not arbitrary. This isn't about Ole Miss. This is about LSU.

Very few Bama fans consider LSU a rival.

Wait a minute. The Bama dorks here say LSU means just as much to them as Chattanooga does.
I mean, nothing says "rivalry" like Tennessee-Alabama.

So it's up to ESPN to tell us who our rivals are?

Won't someone PLEASE think of the cherries?

but bama fans dont think its really a rivalry
Because it's not. LSU has won 9 of the last 14 over Bama but prior to 2000, Bama's record vs LSU was 42-16-5. That is not a rivalry. Maybe in the last 14 years it's begun to look like one and perhaps one day 30 years from now if there is still a back and forth between the two teams maybe then you can call it a rivalry.
However, Auburn is and always will be Bama's biggest rival and vice versa.

So we change the "greatest rivalry" list every 5 years now?
Noted.
Noted.

I guess Alabama and Florida had a rivalry in the 90s.

Err, well not always, I mean Auburn-Georgia series is longer and older...

Ask ANY Auburn fan who they'd rather beat (Georgia or Bama)

there are more "other" fanbases in this thread than there are bama/lsu fans. amusing

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, is it? What I said was that, just like the winner of the Alabama-LSU game will be looking to win an SEC and national championship game, so will the winner of the Alabama-Chattanooga game. And the winner of the Alabama-MSU game...because they are all three the same team. The winner of a game looking for a championship doesn't make a game a rivalry...especially since the loser of the game would have had no chance of winning a championship even if they had won. But since you don't have a rival, how could you have known that?

I'd certainly say it's become a top flight rivalry, but doesn't touch the Iron Bowl.
Posted on 11/4/13 at 1:36 pm to AllBamaDoesIsWin
It's a rivalry on one side, an important game on the other.

Lololololol but but but Bama fans love us. Won't hate it at all when we ruin their season. Like what should have happened 2011
