So what he still improvised well and created multiple TD plays on his own. He showed a great ability how to read and evade a good defense. For his first college start ever, it was extremely impressive.
I remember NFL QB Nathan Peterman 's first game against Florida and he choked in epic fashion down in the swamp. Looked like he never belonged on a college football field until he got some more experience under his belt and turned into a star. Nico did very very well for his first start ever. It was on a pretty big stage as well.
