Just watched his mini interview on SEC Now. His manner of speaking always catches me off guard. How can he coach effectively when he needs subtitles? He is literally that character from the Waterboy.

People from Louisiana understand him perfectly. At least it's not like the whiny Georgia accent Paula Deen has.

I'm not hating. He's clearly overcome a lot of challenges to achieve some things.

He wasn't hired to coach. The last thing LSU wants is for him to start coaching.

His job is to recruit and let the coordinators run their sides of the team.

He's got the same record Miles would have this except they're scoring more points.

We'll see what he does in the future, we all might be eating crow about the guy.

Knowledgeable LSU posters know the book is still out on Coach O, LSU has beaten 1 team with a winning record this year. He has 2 top tier coordinators so we still don't know if he can make it in the Sec yet.

So, I'm guessing you'd rather have Les wins in the SEC this year? Les have 'fought a quality opponent' and beat TROY but he would have lost to Arky, Tenn and probably AU as well.

It's really surprising to see a reasonable post on game day. The book is out until we see how he handles turnover at coordinator. That could be this offseason since there are rumors everywhere that Canada is out.

Next year will tell all. If he can go 10-2 with that brutal schedule then I think we will be in good hands.

I was not disappointed with Steve Ensminger as offensive coordindator last year. I think he is a staff lifer and can step up any time needed, he just doesnt want the job fulltime.

Canada makes enough that I doubt a midmajor can pay him more. If he leaves it will be similar to Lan Kiffin. Going somewhere to prove he can coach for a year.

also to rip his shirt off in the locker room and challenge any one of his players to a fight, pregame. for motivational purposes...he is quite good at this part, actually.
