UCFused to be known as Florida Tech; they should have kept that name, might be in a major conference by now.

1980 aside, I'm proud of what UGA has done on the Academic side, back when I went to GT , UGA was ranked from the high 80s to the mid 90s in the overall rankings and now UGA is up to #50 as a Nationally Ranked University

The climb for them has been slow & steady over the past 30+ years

A lot of UGA Grads from 30 years ago, their kids can no longer get into UGA which explains the growth at places like Ga State , Kennesaw State, & Ga Southern

Keep up the good work academic wise and hopefully we'll catch up to you guys on the FB Field

Since CFB is played by BOTH Public & Private Schools it is highly flawed to do an Academic Ranking that doesn't mirror the competition on the field

Jus sayin', that's how my logic works

I feel really bad for Miss State, when you're ranked #101 among Public Schools, that means there are at least 2 State Colleges in every State that has better Academics than you have, and when your Academics are "that inclusive" then you have no real excuse to not have a Trophy Case full of National Titles

What a pathetic loser University

Comparing Public and Private universities is comparing apples to oranges with academics. Public universities are state-oriented, private schools are not. Private schools are also going to naturally rank higher than a lot of public schools because of the smaller faculty to student ratio. So have fun spending $200k on that liberal arts degree from a private school where there’s only 3,400 students.

Just not the same.

Well it’s more about population. Georgia only had 6.5m residents in 1990 and at 10.5 now.

P.s. Hail Southern

How did Alabama drop so low. Just 10 years ago they were tied if not above Auburn.

Recruiting rejects from up North that couldn't get into the Flagship State Schools up North (Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn State, Illinois, etc), a lot of those types make up the Student Body at Bama now
