We're never suppossed to pass the ball during a game? Even if it's third and long?

The point that people don't get is that you can put in safer routes for a QB that is struggling. Bama is a good example. With the O-line LSU has they could have run a lot more conservative offence than they ran. Less got it done in 07 with his 4th and go for it attitude but his pass the ball and damn the consequences failed this year.
Lee was not your problem. Miles not adjusting to the talent level was IMHO.

LMAO@internet coachs. You must've not seen LSU all year. Early in year we ran on 1st and 2nd downs with usual third and shorts. Later we couldn't run the ball as well and battled third and longs. Gary tried to open up the run with the pass. No different than any other coach.

Your 4th down comments are ridiculous. We HAD to go for it on most 4th downs last year to win the game. You act like he did it just for fun. This year was no different but had a worse QB.

Bama fans constantly blaming Les has become a pathetic obsession among the Gumps. The only mistake Les made was the co-DC fiasco.

My lord, Bama fans can even convey their smug "we created college football" attitude through just a simple message board post. Hey Red Elephants, our school has the two, more recent, NC's. We have watched better football from our school for the better part of a decade, although i'd argue longer. You have the sloppy seconds coach that WE can tell YOU a thing or two about. We have won 7 out of 9 from you know it alls. This board is a constant barrage of Bama fan telling evry other conference foe what they are "really seeing" out there on the field. Last year Dorsey was overrated, but that tub'o'grease #62 is dominant, regardless of how many times other people have seen him; 1. Leave the field with his chest heaving (w/running down coming up) 2. Get manhandled one o one by numerous SEC olinemen. 3. Not get to the QB 4. Not put up all american #'s.

I mean just the other day I was told that Cody was on the AP all american team, by LuckyBama, even though the list hadn't come out yet. Proof of the unwarranted arrogance.

As for some dumb descisions, I liked going for it on our 33 yrd line? in the SECCG in '01. NS almost blew the entire game right there in the first half. Thank God for UT's arrogance, underestimating our players, and lack of preparation for the two tight end set w/ MAuck back there. Now that I think of it, I wonder what Sabans carreer would have been like if he loses that first SEC championship game? 2002 would have been even harder to swallow without a SECC and Sugar Bowl win the previous year. I think the process may have blown up.

What other doomsday scenarios can you dream up based on a fictional event seven years ago?

The attempts at anti-Saban revisionist history are mind boggling and so, so pathetic....

somebody pissed in your coffee I do think LSU's gameplan(s) could have been more conducive for a rookie QB. I still think Crowton is one of the best offensive minds out there, though.

The buck stops with the coach because it is his team....Bama as you may recall got beat by ULM of all teams. Nick's lose period.

One more thing. If you can't figure out how to run behind all that talented O-line then as an expert net coach I would recommend Less teach his QBs to tackle if he is going to keep passing 25-30 times a game.

LOL maybe Less is better than I give him credit for being but "THE ONLY MISTAKE" come on. 2-3 teams in the counrty have as much or more talentthan LSU. Run the ball, control the clock and give yourself a chance to win the game.

Let's see...LSU wins: Saban's talent. LSU loses: Miles' fault. I think I got it.

the O-line simply gave up after the Bama game. That is the fault of the coach. everyone was stacking the line, daring the QB to throw. there was no other choice when you face long distance for a first.

lmao@coach internet troll. watch the games again (if you saw them at all); the offense isn't ranked at the bottom of the SEC. the defense is...

Yeah, as in "never really happened"...like when you said:

Because in the real world, LSU won that SECCG, and went on to win the Sugar Bowl against Illinois, right? So your scenarios about "what ifs" are just dreams about fictional scenarios...

My B, I thought you were saying the nearly disastrous, dumb arse decision by Nick was fictional. Gotcha.

Reality was that it was a silly call by Nick, worse than any of LM's crazy calls. That's all. Every coach has to make off the wall calls now and then, every one of them. The great ones do it and it works a little more than other coaches. Don't hate on Les because he is a better coach. You can't get a free ride banging on my coach when I know your coach too fricking well to let that go on.

I am SO gonna give you grief after next season when you're screaming for Les's head.

An LSU fan defending Miles is about as smart as a chicken defending Colonel Sanders.

I'm BamaInHsv, read, dickhead. I can tell by reading that you're the most obnoxious, douchebag LSU fan on this board.

Two things that are funny about you. 1. You'll call someone a "dumb hick" when you have no idea who they are or what they know. 2. You will pile shite on someone up to their shoulders, but you really get offended if someone dares sling it back at you.
