You realize, Bryant Bank is owned by Paul Bryant, Jr., right?

What's that got to do with anything? You think they decided on the name Bryant Bank after Jr? Is that why there is a houndstooth hat on the website?

Jeebus. I'm sure it had alot to do with it. You think the bank would be named that if Bryant Jr were not involved in it? It's his surname. Are they using his dad to advertise? Yes. But the bank is named that, because his son is a major shareholder in it.

I'm in the banking industry, and I can tell you that not only is it unusual to choose the name of a bank after the Chairman, I know of no other example.

Ok. Again, do you really think the bank would be named that, if Bryant Jr wasn't involved in it? I said I don't deny they're using Bear's ties and likeness in advertising, but to say the name of the bank is an attempt to idolize him, when his son is the chairman and founder is a bit far fetched.

The bank is named that because of his father, and the attention it would garner. Do you really think that if Bear Bryant didn't have the success he did, that Paul Bryant Jr. would have opened a bank named after himself? I can tell you that doesn't happen. My father was the president/CEO of a bank, actually started it from the ground. The bank was not named after him or any other founding partner. They never are.

Congrats, not sure how it's relevant to your assertion that Bryant Bank is a way Bama fans idolize Bear.

1. No, it wouldn't be named Bryant if Bear hadn't been successful. It's speculative to how successful Jr would be at this point in time without his dad.

2. Again, it was marketing and again, do you really think the bank would be named Bryant, without Jr being involved in it? Also again, how is it idolizing Bear, when his son is the one involved in the bank?

Hey, don't argue with these Auburn guys about the banking business. You know they know all about that. How's that Colonial bank doing these days?
You do know there are other Bryant banks that are not in Tuscaloosa, right?

Because it's named after Bear Bryant, not his son. And the fact you can't admit that is ridiculous. You admit that with your next answer when you said "No, it wouldn't be named Bryant if Bear hadn't been successful."

You've answered your own question several times when you said:

quote:

Are they using his dad to advertise? Yes.

What does this have to do with anything? Are Alabama fans quarantined to Tuscaloosa?
