LF doesn't have the same speed as Herschel did... He wouldn't be able to run on the same track let alone field please don't compare the two you just look stupid now.

Laughing at my comment show me something that says he would belong on the same track as Herschel! Put or shut up pussy! I already know you won't be able to but take the time to educate yourself. I think Fournette won the 4A State championship with a 10.68 in 100 meter Herschel ran a 10.26 in track that's a mile son. He also held a world record in the 60 yard dash at one time. Logic and facts always win boys

fournette ran a 10.68 100m so, yes, he does have the same speed herschel had. fournette is slightly heavier than herschel from what i have read.

If I had to compare LSU and Georgia I would say
1. Fournette
2.Chubb
3. Michel
4. Guice

I'd take LSU, but Georgia is probably a push.

Based on the tandem question, I'd have to say UGA has the best RB tandem in the conf. However, I see very little difference in the abilities of Chubb and LF. They are both fantastic. LF put on a real show Saturday. The real difference for me is the performance of Michel. I left the stadium Sat night thinking that Michel impressed me more than anyone in Red and Black that particular night. I would even venture to say that Michel may have more upside than Chubb. This time last year we were all discussing how amazing Gurley was. Then he got injured and Chubb became the talk of the league. Would not shock me to see the same thing happen this year, if Chubb were to miss anytime due to injuries. Question for LSU fans, if LF were to get injured would your 2nd or 3rd stringer become the talk of the league?

I bet money you never saw Herschel Walker play in person. Herschel didn't have to be fast he just ran you over. Stop acting like you know what you are talking about

I honestly couldn't name another RB on LSU's roster.
I could give a shite about your team, too. Let's wait until the season plays out to find out how well known anyone's roster is.

Have to be fast? What an odd comment. Point is, he was that fast and he used it from time to time. See sc 1980.

the fastest time i have read for herschel was 10.23 and that is NOT "world class speed." and i said that fournette is heavier than herschel but no uga fans want to take that into account. besides, this is a fb discussion not a track discussion. fournette is about as fast on the field with pads as hershel was.

even that's not the point of the thread. the point is that fournette is being compared favorably to the all time greats. chubb - not. add in williams, brossette and guice, lsu gets the nod.

Carl lewis

And the comparisons prove confirmation and auburn bias to be true, and I bet the 6'1 height that makes a difference in a comparison with other 6'1 guys.

With that said, Gurley was LF before LF. Can't be a once a decade guy if that's the case.

It was at the time. And did you miss the part about holding the record in the 60? How many track records does LF have?

I would personally take Michel and Chubb but I agree that LF and Guice are a great option as well. I also think that fans are doing what fans do. They see a monster game by a player, like LF had on Saturday, and they deem him supreme. Chubb has had "monster" games in the past as well. I do think that LF has more NFL potential than Chubb but I also think that due to the balance UGA has on offense Chubb will have a better college career. Chubb is on pace to have over 2000 yard this season, which would make him hard to pass on for a Heisman Trophy, specifically if they are in the national championship picture. I'm sure there will be a game were LF and the LSU Oline has an off day and Chubb has a monster day and the volcano will erupt again. It does seem though that Chubb has yet to have the highlight reel type moments he had from last year.
