I certainly hope so he has all the talent in the world. Skys the limit for him. He can still sling it.

He should get definitely get a shot at a camp, with the weak QB draft class coming in.

some team with a lousy QB situation should offer him a minimum contract and just see what happens.

Honestly, he's got to be better than half the QBs the Jets have on their roster.

I was tempted to type something similar but I'm not sure that's very convincing since I don't think half of the Jets QBs are really NFL QBs

quote - No it will not. He will still be the same fat POS who stole money from the Raiders so he could do drugs. Frick Russell, I hope he DIAF.

This is ridiculous to say. He didn't steal anything from the raiders, They gave him guaranteed money. Russell isn't the only person that pocketed millions without playing up to expectations

with the amount of great young talent in the league i give his chances slim to none. because of the new talent emerging it would be hard for him to even get paid to hold a clip board as second string.

there are still a handful of teams with bad quarterback situations in need of a proper starter (let alone a functional backup).

the problem is that QB is a leadership position and JR will have to show emotional stability for a while before anyone will hand him the keys to the car.

Personally, I hope he does, but I don't see it happening. Just with how little guys come out of the league and then come back in, and how critical a position QB is I don't see many teams taking a chance on him. I think he could help out the Jags or the Jets though, but who knows.

Tebow, McElroy, Sanchez, Simms, Garrard...........you're right. New York has zero NFL-caliber QB's.

Russell has more talent than any of those guys.

Nobody should even give him a sniff until he gets well below 250. To think that getting down to 260-270 for this peak moment of a tryout is showing people how hard you work and how committed you will be is a joke. He'll be weighing 295 the second he cashes his next NFL check. I'd tell him to call me when he weighs 230 otherwise enjoy drinking cough syrup in Arena League locker rooms for $25k a year.

................He played at like 265 at LSU. He'd be 280 lbs when he showed up for summer practice.

No, but I can't imagine him playing at 230. He probably hasn't weighed that since his sophomore year of high school.

cause he has been a lazy fat baby since then. Its not like he has this massive muscular build. He is just a lazy slob with no self control. You bring him in at 260 cause he is just big boned and he'll be right back to his old ways immediately.
