Assuming that expansion to 16 is eventually going to happen, does the Conference go to two 8 team divisions, or four 4 team pods?

Assuming also that VT and NCST are the teams added it is easy to say they would be in the east and Mizzou heads west with the two division setup. But what teams would each of the pods consist?

If they frick around and break up the Oldest rivalry in the South between Auburn and Georgia, that shite isn't going to fly. We love the SEC but we love our teams and our traditions first and foremost. SEC needs to think this shite out or the whole thing is going to collapse.

If you kick out State and Vandy, I would be fine with this.

Kick out Arkansas, move Mizzou to West, enter Clemson or UNC, keep it at 14.

I agree with this. I would rather pull OK and OK ST or something and let Bama and Auburn go to the east. The only reason LSU fans would like it is they would have free reign over the west if they had let Missou and aTm both in the west.

I think it would be easier to keep the traditional rivalries with the pod system.

Why OK is a historically great program and OK ST is a great team the last few yrs. I understand geographical issues but if you bring in two good teams Bama and Auburn can go east and keep our rivalries while maintaining good balance between the divisions. I used them as examples but two teams who would not allow the west division to be a two team race would be best for all.

If we were to go to pods the rivalries would be very safe. For instance,
West Central East North
LSU Bama Georgia Vandy
Tamu Auburn Florida N.C. St
Arky Miss St Tennessee VT
Mizz Ole Miss Kentucky S.C.

In this format each team plays every team in their respective pod and 1 permanent rivalry in every other pod and rotates another opponent. Essentially 3-2-2-2. We would have to play LSU, Tenn and maybe Vandy or V.T. permanently. UGA would play Auburn, maybe mizzou, S.C. permanently.

This. Wouldn't scheduling rivalries be made much easier if there were 4 team pods? If you had 8 team divisions and an 8 game SEC schedule, you'd only play your rival and have no other cross-divisional games. The complaints would never end.

If I had to guess the composition of the pods:

UF
USCe
VT
NCST

UGA
Tenn
Vandy
Kentucky

Ala
AU
Miss St.
Ole Miss

LSU
aTm
Mizzou
Ark

ACC looks like it's going to stick it out for now at least.

If the ACC adds two quality teams, I think the conf. shuffle should be done for at least a few years.

I just don't see us getting any quality ACC schools unless the ACC just completely falls apart.

I think adding ND and them not sharing revenue is going to really piss off FSU. They are going to bolt to the Big 12 for money because like most of the ACC, they are struggling financially in the athletic department. When Clemson follows suite, We can snag VT and NC State

Pods would be on a 3 year rotation. So you would play everyone every 3 years.

Unless you put Au, Uga, Tenn, & bama in the same pod, it won't work.

although it is attractive... Unless we cut out some money games against cheese del queso states, we likely won't do a semi until the other conferences do.
