I don't make a point to be "rebellious" that's what kids do when they want to feel "cool"

I like who I am, and I love the Ole Miss Rebel football team and the University of Mississippi with all my heart. I don't need anyone's approval.

inelishaitrust... This country was FOUNDED upon rebellion. We are at our very core a rebellious people, or may I say we used to be. Now, we more resemble livestock that fall in line when they are called, and steared around to and fro by gentle nudges.

Sure.

But rebelling for the hell of it, or for bad reason is for losers.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it change. I really wouldn't. I'm expecting it within 4 or 5 years actually.

It will change because the school will make another excuse saying the name Rebels is keeping big time athletes from attending Ole Miss.

Maybe if the admin would give the athletic department a bigger recruiting budget they wouldn't have to make up excuses for why we keep losing big time recruits.

Falling in line because you're told to is for pussies.

Why not put George Washington in the school's colors and retain the name REBELS? At least it would have made sense. All this black bear thing does is scream that Ole Miss just surrendered everything they once held dear for acceptance, and acceptance that isn't coming, but you just traded in everything to attain it. THAT'S emptiness. No identity and no idea where the program is even going. I really don't think I ever dreamed the day would come when Ole Miss would cave and so embarassingly.

Our biggest problem with recruiting is that half of our fanbase is as ignorant as you.

So you don't think us having one of the worse recruiting budgets in the SEC has something to do with us losing recruiting battles to the likes of the larger programs?

I certainly believe that our recruiting budget is holding us back.

I also believe that people like you are.
