Please explain.

Prior to 1999 Alabama played 3 homes games a year at Legion Field. In 1987 Alabama played all of its homes games at Legion Field. Until 1990 Alabama played the majority of its home games at Legion Field.

So did Auburn. The campus is in Tuscaloosa, and the "Iron Bowl" ended when your ilk selfishly moved the game on campus. The 50/50 split, parking in people's backyard, great atmosphere all out the window so we can all drive to a city that can't handle game day traffic to this day.

.....and if it was still in Birmingham, bama would be playing 75% of their games there while Auburn would be playing once a year there. We are just selfish as hell.

This is not true. Auburn played some games there mostly when teams refused to come to Auburn. For the most part outside of the Iron Bowl Auburn was done with home games in the 70's at Legion Field.

Think of what might have been if Auburn had been on a equal playing field from the beginning.

How is anything that I said "touchy"? If responding rationally to a post is considered touchy then I suppose you are correct. You must not know the rant well if you aren't familiar with alters however.

I've only been here a few months so no, I don't know the rant all that well.

I just make observations from the threads I read.

Equal playing field? What are you talking about? Birmingham is a neutral site.

Not when one team plays half of its home games there.

Until 1999 it wasn't. It was a home game for Bama. Thankfully we got out of that situation in 1989. What might have been indeed?

No, Tuscaloosa has much better organized and distributed game day traffic than Auburn.

The University of Alabama is in Tuscaloosa, AL. Auburn University is in Auburn, AL. A game in Birmingham is a neutral site. Not rocket science, guys.

I see what your doing here. Pretending not to know Bama was using Legion Field for home games for recruiting purposes so it seems like the Iron Bowl was a neutral site game.

So when Alabama played their home games (aside from the Iron Bowl) at Legion Field, they wore their whites? Their score went up under the 'visitor' side of the scoreboard?
How far apart is Birmingham from Tuscaloosa vs Auburn?
Is Arkansas the visiting team when they play games in Little Rock?
