I will, particularly when Notre Dame and Nebraska are still being listed. There is not a single thing "elite" about Nebraska's football program today.
It's also hilarious that you think one guy's opinion actually makes this some sort of definitive statement.

So you're slowly coming around to my very first post in this thread.......
"Elite", in my opinion, are the blue blood types that have won numerous national titles, including at least 2 since integration, plus Michigan.
Alabama
Notre Dame
USC
OU
Ohio State
Texas
Michigan (won more games than any other team)
Nebraska (falling off sharply)
----------------------------------------------------
Notre Dame, I would note, has played in the national title game since LSU has. It isn't at all reasonable to not consider Notre Dame a blue blood, considering all their national titles. Ask the average football fan across the nation to pick between LSU and Notre Dame as an "elite" program and I doubt many would even take you seriously.

I'm not reading all that shite. Being a blue blood is not the only thing that makes you an elite football program.
That notion is borderline retarded.

Right now IMO
Alabama (elite)
Notre Dame (has won anything in 25 years)
USC (needed to cheat to have their last dynasty)
OU (not bad choice
Ohio State (elite)
Texas (el ohh el)
Michigan (up and coming)
Nebraska (product of schedule)
I would put Clemson above all these teams and probably Wisconsin above most of them as far as what they have proven to me in the last decade.

Nice try, but your OP is an unmitigated troll attempt. Don't crawfish now and try to say you consider us a "potential elite team"
First off I've been very unbiased on my post history about LSU..."Hell I thought you would make playoff last year". Keep telling yourself whatever feel like. I simply ask was LSU still elite program...so quit BS passive aggressive chit when you guys get defensive about a subject. I'm just some anonymous Bama fan, you guys have been reduced to hoping a coach retire rather than going through them.

Like I said before, if it wasn't for football the bambies* wouldn't have word to say on here because the rest of the there sports programs r hot garbage
Nomination for "Try Hard Post of the Day
*Quit trying to make 'bambies' happen. It's not going to happen.

That's a very reasonable observation. As I said in a post this morning, there is a difference in elite team and elite program. Clemson certainly is a more elite team "right now", as you say, than most of those 8 teams.

Dude's entire argument is you can't be an elite program unless you are a traditional blue blood.
I guess Miami and FSU weren't elite in the 80's and 90's. Who knew?

I didn't read the whole thread.
But I imagine his list has criteria that I would call retarded

What part do not get about a difference in elite team and elite program?
Try to give a compliment and guys like you just refuse to have it. Reminds me of the LSU fan in the Home Depot in Carrollton Ga that blew up when I suggested, in 2011, that the rematch should be a good game.

My "criteria" which I posted before I even found the ABC and ESPN articles, is the same as theirs, which is the same as most college football fans in this nation....
ABC News
ESPN

I'm fully aware. There aren't 5 programs in the country, all things considered, that are better than LSU right now. That makes them elite. LSU may be the 15th best team in the country this year though. It's funny because you're the one having difficulty separating the two.
Again, anyone who lists Nebraska as an elite program in CFB today has almost zero credibility.

Sorry your attempt at a compliment is full of dumb arse notions.

No not elite now but could be very soon with proper hire. If they come out of their Paul Bunyan coma, they could be really good!
