It's even better when you see that the Seattle defense stopped Arizona on 4th down so that Metcalf stop saved them a TD.

He needed that hustle play to make up for the early celebration lost TD a few weeks back. I'd say he is even now.

If you really believe that Burkes is on the same level because he had a good game vs our shitty defense you're delusional lmao. Take away our game and he has a grand total of six catches for 102 yards over the other 2 games this season.

Also, Burkes has only caught 2 touchdowns in 14 games? DK had 9 TDs through his first 14 games

Again, Burks has missed 2 games this year. And yeah, he caught no TD's last year because we had terrible QB play.

Here's Burks running down Alabama's Diggs last year on an INT

He also had over 100 yards against Georgia this year. He will finish his career here with better stats than Metcalf.

He’s missed two games yes but he still is averaging 51 yards per game against opponents not named Ole Miss.

Also, on Burks’ run down, he didn’t even catch him. Diggs scores a touchdown on that play. DK’s is much more impressive because he actually saved a touchdown

I mean, if we can just pick and choose which games we can include in stats I could do the same with Metcalf.

In 2017, Metcalf averaged 57 yards per game, then in 2018 he averaged 81.

Burks averaged 43 in year 1(with freaking ben hicks/nick starkel at QB) and is currently averaging 83 this year.

Burks will have a better career.

Yes it was...DK 50/60 lbs heavier than Darrel Green...

Green was further away and had to navigate through four fellow redskins to catch Dorsett...

Love that “OOHH shite” reaction from the DB when he looked back over his shoulder and saw Metcalf closing in on him

At this point in time, the numbers do not support the idea that Burks will have a better career. If you extrapolate DK’s stats to 36 games (to standardize for three full seasons), DK would have 2099 yards and 24 touchdowns in 36 games. If you do the same for Burke’s current numbers (which is all we currently have to go off of), he would have 2075 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Obviously his numbers are going to improve with better QB play. That doesn’t mean he is better than DK Metcalf or that he is going to have a better career. Even if you multiply his extrapolated touchdown numbers by four, he still wouldn’t have the same number of touchdowns that DK did in college. Alternatively, you could add 500 yards to Burke’s extrapolated yardages total and add 8 touchdowns to his TD total and DK would still have a better career due to higher TD% and YPC.

You can't extrapolate those stats for Metcalf because they didn't happen.

You can only go off what he actually did. Again, we aren't speaking in hypotheticals here, we are going off facts.

When you compare careers of two players, you compare what they did, not what "they might've done if you extrapolate hypothetical stats".

Did Burks loose two seasons due to injury (broken foot and broke neck) and play for Fat Luke?

Do career stats care if you were injured or not? No.

You go off the stats they have. and let's not pretend like playing for Fat Luke was any better than playing for Chad Morris.

I’m not claiming he is as good as Metcalf, just giving the facts. He got hurt on the first possession of the State game. He has essentially played only Georgia and Ole Miss and he went for over 100 on both

Okay, you are right, Burks is going to grow 2 inches, get significantly faster, become an Adonis before getting draft high and tearing up the NFL.....

Why are you talking about his physical attributes? Is Burks going to have a lesser career than Metcalf because he's a couple inches shorter?

Burks is 1 inch shorter btw. But he will finish with more yards and TD's than Metcalf did.

Even if we don’t extrapolate, DK has 7 more touchdowns through his first 14 games when compared to Burke, so DK was much better than Burke at similar points in their careers. DK has had a better career up to this point in time and will continue to have better numbers until Burke has simply played more games than DK did. And don’t argue that he would have had more touchdowns last year if he had better QB play, because

they didn't happen.

That's fine, but Burks had 0 TD's in 2019, and then had a TD Game 1 against Georgia this year.

Yeah, I'd say he would've had more last year if we had better QB play.
