They used their Sugar bowl money they got each year from the teams using their stadium and facilities.

With all the successful Grind and 0/10 response threads going on, I figured we could use a level-headed thread to discuss the series strange history.
107 total matchups(LSU leads 69-35-3):
-Only 21 of those 107 games have been hosted in Starkville.
-11 of those 21 have been played over the last two decades.
-LSU hosted every game from 1934 to 1957, minus three.
-In 1914, LSU didn't play MSU due to the Dawgs four straight years of shutting LSU out. On the 100 year anniversary mark(2014), it seems likely the Dawgs are finna eat.
Why were so many games hosted by LSU? Considering no one leaves Death Valley alive, why do LSU fans brag about this? Never seen such a weird series history between close rivals. I'm actually impressed with how close the series is, especially once the MSU win streak, that Dak and Mullen are about to start, is added to the record W/L...IMO.
In 1982, MSU won 27-24

I have no Idea why State played at USA. The school actually lost money traveling there.
Ignorance.

it wasn't the university but the New Orleans Mid-Winter Sports Association aka Sugar Bowl that financed the expansion...

If it matters, I think you beat A&M but lose to LSU and auburn:). You're just not goin to beat that LSU defense and the four beasts in the LSU back field in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night.

I don't post here or logon and read this board every day, but he is easily one of the top 5 posters who seems completely obsessed with LSU.
I think he has posted he was raised in La.
I'm starting to wonder if he wasn't molested by someone who graduated from LSU. Or maybe he was bullied by some kids who were LSU fans. Maybe he was rejected by LSU and is angry because he will have to explain to his grandkids why any sane person would grow up in La. and be a fan of OM.
I think we should offer to pay to have him evaluated by a mental health professional in his area. I would like to know if his obsession with LSU is healthy and maybe get him some help if he was indeed abused by someone with ties to LSU. Could you imagine him printing out his post history and sitting down with a therapist and discussing why he is completely obsessed with LSU? Maybe we could nominate other posters here who seem to have an unhealthy obsession with LSU and do the same (looking at you MsGarrison).
