Believe it or not, we play 11 other football games in a regular season. This is not about Ole Miss.
Timing might be disastrous, and we'll find out pretty soon. But I suspect there is a lot more to this than any of us know. If Napier is the guy they want, he had to say what he did because he has a game to play yet. I guess we will find out Tuesday. If it's Chizik, then we probably should have given Jo Mo another year. If it's anyone lower than Chizik (and I don't want him) then it's a total cluster. But again, it's not about Ole Miss.

Half of something is better than all of nothing. You guys fired your 2nd winningest coach in fricking January. You want to talk about less than zero? You guys are the armpit of the SEC.
Btw, Lane has not gone downward at every stop you toothless degenerate. His first head coaching job was the NFL. He was the youngest ever HC in the NFL. Followed that with the TN HC job. Based on the dysfunctional culture of the Raiders, no one blames Lane for not being successful there.
His next stop was USC HC. Not a step down from TN. I would say he was again vindicated based on the aftermath of him leaving and the classless way they fired him.
Next stop OC at BAMA and a natty, to his credit. Anybody want to tell me how many NCs BAMA has won since he left?
Next stop HC at FAU. Going from OC to HC is not moving backwards. He got more wins in 3 seasons than their entire previous history combined, back to back conference champs.
He is now the HC of an SEC school. Again that is moving up. He rebuffed Upig in order to be HC of Ole Miss.
Your top candidate reportedly turned down a several million dollar a year raise to stay at ULL. Let that sink in.
