I have a hard time believing this or that you are employed due to this answer.
Believe whatever you want. I’ve been in this business 20 years longer than you and have seen the cycles. Usually slows at the end of the year. Plus, our federal government contracts aren’t happening right now with the shut down. Despite that we’ve had our best year in the firm’s history. Right now, I’m in collections mode, making sure my consultants get paid, and determining bonuses for staff.
Would still rather be deer hunting though.

where are all these threads? Nobody thinks that.
A&M looks great. Congrats. No need to make shite up to get attention
Apparently you have not been here for the past few weeks.

I now believe you even less than before.

The only threads I've seen are people talking about A&M having the weakest schedule of all SEC teams.

I mean government contracts that are fully funded aren't affected by shutdowns. Only contracts that are service based or performance based(aka you must finish part A before getting funded for part B) are affected. AKA existing projects did not stop. Existing service based contracts that get paid like every month etc - those were affected.
If you had told me you lived in a really cold weather area where construction was basically halted and the only work you had was designing for upcoming spring projects, that would have made sense.
But government shutdown and deer hunting doesn't sound legit to me.

Lots of Bama (and Georgia) fans are furious that an also ran is ranked above them.
Georgia fans furious to be ranked at #5? I doubt that very seriously.

Be careful out there... you might run into some Alabama (or Georgia) hunter who is "furious" that the Aggies are ranked ahead of them...

Mostly it seems to be the younger crowd that was spoiled by, and only know, Saban's success.
They didn't live through the 90s.

Clarifying…we are pursuing some government contracts at joint bases, not working on current projects with them. We’ve had to put that on hold because the procurement people aren’t really around at the moment.
I think you underestimate how big deer hunting is in Central and South Texas.
Appreciate your concern over our industry being slow Nov/Dec but I don’t share it. We’re all good and firm has a healthy forecast for FY26.
