Y'all may have quite the recruiting run in Texas if UT slow plays the situation. Lol
I don't think you saps fully realize the situation. In the best recruiting state in the nation, the best players are drawn to the SEC by an irresistible magnet. I don't see Texas recovering any time soon. Aggies will still rejoice at Texas losses and probably always will, but from a competition standpoint I think most of us have moved on and are more concerned with LSU and Alabama.

I gave you examples of not so impressive seasons.
Dubiously trying to spin A&M's 2012 season as anything other than a giant success is, well, funny.
When the entire country pegs you at 6-6 (tops), and you finish 5th nationally, that's, uh, good.
Your goal is to be dismissive of TAMU, right. You had a couple alternatives. For example, say something like: "Yeah, but once JFF's gone, they'll revert to lol bad." Or perhaps "When Sumlin jumps to USCw next year, the bottom will fall out."
While these alternatives are both stale and desperate, they're probably less stale and desperate than trying to minimize A&M's 2012 season.
Anyway, just some food for thought.

Impressive, successful.
It's all semantics. That is, unless you're not impressed by success? Then again, it looks like you're defining an impressive season as one that's "magical, can't-be-topped."
Seems to me the threshold for impressive isn't quite that high?
I digress.

Successful but not overly impressive.
"Successful" beats the crap out of what you and yours predicted, does it not?
A&M still has some catching up to do. So says Sumlin, and I'm not going to argue with him. See you in Red Stick.

It's fricking softball. I hate mizzou as much as the next guy but the vast majority of us haven't been to a home softball game let alone travel to an sec tournament in whatever city its in

Congratulations on finishing third in the west. At least you weren't last. Banner worthy?
I'm never quite sure who I'm talking to when posters claim to be fans of, for example, George Mason. But perhaps I'm just thickheaded.
I don't understand what you're trying to say. As you mentioned, A&M finished 3rd in the SEC West and I don't know of anybody who expects a banner for that. Was it a successful year? Well yeah, I'd say being the only team to beat NC Alabama, and at their home at that, and stomping Big 12 co-champ Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl and finishing 11-2 is a pretty successful year.
In case you're a Mizzou fan rather than a George Mason fan, I've said several times in this thread that I expect Mizzou to be fine. And they will, whether you still claim to be a George Mason fan or not.

This dude sure has a stingy standard for impressive.
You must me an overachiever.
I bet you're an overachiever.

To which.
They're both shite. I think neither are impressive. But you already knew that since I never challenged you labeling them as unimpressive.

Thanks for the grammar correction and subsequent edit.
My point is the athletic program as a whole was not impressive yet.

Here to help.
TAMU is number 11 in the Director's Cup. That's a ranking of the AD "as a whole."
ETA: I think only UGA and UF are higher.

Sorry, thought you said the AD "as a whole."
Should have known you meant "AD as a whole but not."
Meh, I'm just being a prick.

Go through my posts in this thread and see what I'm referring to.
First, I got it. You're an LSU fan (that must have lost a bet to a George Mason fan, but that's your business.)
Second, what the hell? In a thread titled "Did Missou (sp) overreach" you're going on about A&M's success and/or lack of same? And in response to a post by another LSU fan? Why?
Football - I'm happy, though I hope we'll get better. I share Coach Sumlin's opinion that we have a way to go.
Basketball - We sucked, but I don't care any more about basketball than I do about golf. Except the women, when they win. Yes, I know I'm a hypocrite. Shut up.
Baseball - Have to get better. Have been better before, but now going up against the best conference - definitely a ways to go.
Track & Field - Heh. Stole your coach and it is still paying off. Take that.
The "impressive" post that you're apparently complaining about was from one of the few rational LSU posters here. My guess is he meant everybody expected A&M's football team to get their brains kicked in, but they didn't. Florida - I'm sure the team would like to play that one again. LSU beat them with superior athletes on defense. Screw any talk about missed kicks, LSU beat A&M physically when it counted.
You're still full of shite, though, and obsessed about something I haven't figured out yet. Back on track, Mizzou will be fine.
