He was stupid for hiding it. Open Carry is allowed in LA. Either visible or partially visible. Or he should have gotten a permit for concealed carry...

Chuck, it was a city ordinance. A misdemeanor during a specified time. Did he break that ordinance? Yes. Still a misdemeanor AND he surrendered his firearm. No biggie.
