I’m sorry but let me stop you here. It wouldn’t have made that big of an impact. Defense was horrid.

Chase targets last year : 126 targets 84 receptions

Smith targets this year: 132 targets 105 receptions

Smith has the better hands.

He will be like Ruggs and Jeudy in the NFL. Just average to below average. He is nothing special.

10 years of Alabama being your daddy has destroyed you.

You spend more time on this board posting about your daddy than you do on your own team.
You jump on the dick of whoever is playing your daddy.

Truly pathetic!

Outstanding season for Smith, but he probably would not have won had Waddle not gotten hurt (due to receptions and TDs that would have gone to Waddle).

Not taking away from the season Smith had. Just interesting to look back at Waddle's injury and think that helped pave the way to the Heisman for a teammate.

Seldom do the Heisman voters get it this right. And an Alabama player at that, imagine that? DeVonta is just someone anyone should be able to pull for and is genuinely humble about himself, such a nice kid.

Stats and name recognition in some gadget offense usually have the voters hypnotized by the end of October and that's all you hear. After seeing Lawrence close in on the second spot it was obvious the voters can't help themselves and next year promises the same name-over-game winner.
