Doubt it. Mississippi State was holding Mullen back. Now that he has broken the chains he can unleash his full potential and give maximum relentless effort and strain. Mason wouldn’t stand a chance.

Dan standing behind ref saying don’t hold me don’t hold me ... the entire time thinking hold me back ... neither wanted to get it on . One just pissed cause of the cheap shot and another wanting to make sure he saved face .. no big whoop .

Dan's pretty crafty. Wouldn't surprise me if he put Derek in some jiu-jitsu hold and broke his joints.

Yes, a clean shoulder led block that would have been on ESPN's top 10, less than 10 years ago is a cheap shot.

This is a cheap shot, 4 or 5 of them. And no ejection

I'm pretty sure Mullen shaves both his legs and armpits.

Dan Merlins is a jackass.. I've never liked him even back when he was with state. He constantly speaks nonsense about his team, and rarely takes responsibility.

Correct. That was a text book block. The fact that it now gets you ejected instead of praised is just another pathetic example of what football is being reduced to.

That block was a smidge high, but it wasn’t dirty. The punches thrown by that Bama player was a real wtf moment. Why would it even cross your mind that that kind of behavior is evem remotely acceltable?

ETA: Had the block been lower, abdomen or chest level, he would have been fine. Anything close to the head will get you thrown out. Shoulder hits are not advisable.
