The SEC has always fought an uphill battle for respect. Writers on the East and West Coast have always favored Big Ten and Pac 10 teams. Now that the SEC has earned the respect and producing on the field, other conferences want to try to weaken the SEC's power, not by being better, but by trying to exclude better teams. Do it on the field. Not with backdoor politics and smoozing writers like Delaney is trying to do. He's been arrogant in how he's tried to portray the SEC for years. Always making backhanded remarks, only to have them bite him in the arse. He's wrong on this too. Just as he was on all the other things he's tried to do or stop.
