He was the best available. He read Sark like a book in the Sugar Bowl. He knew Sark would script pass first to open up the run, and that Sark has a tendency to bail too late on his preparation. They were giving Texas the run and baiting the RPO, they probably set a record for batted passes in one game. He was arguably mismatched in both playoff matchups and the Huskies competed really well.

Sark was my first choice. I had zero doubt if we picked him up, the Bama machine would keep on rolling and not miss a beat. But it was a long a long shot and obviously didnt come to pass, so be happy he stayed in Austin.
After him, DeBoer was probably the next best hire Bama could have made so I am extremely happy.

Sark was first, kiffin second. I was gonna melt if anyone else. This guy's recruiting has me nervous as frick but his offense has me excited so I'm melting with a hard on. Weird
