I don't know what it is, but calling yall Mississippi somehow gets under yall's skin. I kind of like the way ESPN referred to yall as, The School Up North. Which do you dislike worse: Mississippi or TSUN? Oh and by the way you won't see me post a whole lot over here or at least not near as much as yall. I stay true to my paid site BulldawgJunction. The best website in all the web!

You keep thinking that. Most Ole Miss fans are proud of being Mississippi.
It's what we are.
Ole Miss is a nickname, It's a family, It's a place (a magical one at that.
I don't care if we're never called Ole Miss by anyone outside of our fanbase. We are THE University of Mississippi. Why would it hurt our feelings to call us what we were.
Maybe it bothered us when Jackie was beating us in the 90's, but nowadays State is so irrelevant that we don't care.
Same thing with TSUN. We'd be upset if we had little brother complex, like TSIECM.
And don't let argument make you stop.
Because like I said, it doesn't bother us. (does filter out the bad posters though)

The only annoying thing about it comes when ESPN does it because it further demonstrates the "Worldwide Leader in sports'" lack of understanding of college football.
However, if y'all are going to call us "Mississippi" while continuing to be "Mississippi State," I'm totally fine with that. It's basically an admission on you're part that we are THE flagship university of the State of Mississippi. So much so, in fact, that we only need to be referred to as "Mississippi," and not some derivative thereof (i.e., Mississippi STATE or SOUTHERN Mississippi).

Also, for a Florida Gator to talk shite about "the Mississippi Schools" is a bit annoying when considering the fact that this season marked the first time Florida had won in Starkville since Ronald Reagan was president AND the fact that Ole Miss has an all-time winning record against the Gators having won three out of the last four matchups.
