One day you'll learn to not be an idiot...when that happens you'll be a great coach.

He started Drew Pomeranz today.
Drew is too tired, and not on top of his game.
He's thrown over 80 pitches in just 3 1/3 innings.
given up 1 run.

Is Bianco really short, or are Ole Miss pitchers really tall. He looked like a horse jockey out there yesterday.

Both.
Our pitchers are all 6'3"-6'4" and Bianco is kinda short.

That is why we did not hire him. He has good talent be he can not coach in big games

Baseball is a strange and unpredictable game. Game 2 is the game you want to win the series in... anything can happen in game 3. Pomeranz threw 146 pitches, I doubt he was still tired from Monday's game.
I'm jus sayin.

Pom did well, the little midget had runners on first and second around the fifth inning and did not bunt them around. Ironically two batters later a base rip only scores one leaving the other stranded! Oh the Irony !

I'm not saying i'm Tony LaRussa, but why didn't Ole Miss try to bunt home the winning run? Weren't Virginia's infielders playing back pretty deep?

Will trust Bianco over any poster on this board with handling the Ole Miss staff. You might not like what he does, but have you ever thought that might be his best option at that time?

and bianco is quickly turning into mike martin jr.

I don't understand this thread. Bianco made all the right calls in this game. Why not start Pomeranz? He gave up 2 runs over 7 innings.

No shite before the game started all was happy with the starter.
Posted on 6/6/09 at 4:52 pm to Durrell
the question is: what would you have done differently?
Posted on 6/6/09 at 5:10 pm to UM Rebel
yeah, i thought Ole Miss lost because of errors ?

Yeah it was a crucial error, poor base running, and untimely hitting.
Our pitching was great today.

ole miss fans gotta feel nervous right now, you guys have went down this road before.

Miami...and wasn't it Texas a few years back?
Anyways, my biggest question mark is Pomeranz (sp?). He threw something like 130 pitches. And it's no secret that their Ace is hurt. Makes you question THAT aspect of coaching.

No doubt. But I feel really confident that we'll win. We did this last Sunday and won on Monday. I think we'll win tomorrow.
