I still haven't figured that shite out.

Back in the day, I had an answering machine with microcassettes and could easily record any conversation I wanted to.

I'm no legal expert but I understand that back in the 80s Dale Brown recorded his own phone calls because it was apparently legal to do so in Louisiana. I'm guessing that is no longer the case.

Her granddaughter was there with her with the call on speakerphone. I would imagine that the granddaughter set it up.
