You guys act as if State is ULM or something, Mullen will have put together two top 25 classes in three years by the end of this year, and will had a bowl game and winning season under his belt. While he may leave he's not jumping on the plane to leave, he's genuinely happy to be here.

Hey Bud....not knocking on State. However, if a program like Clemson (just an example) came open, he would have to consider it. I watched the JS days at Miss State and they were really good. I don't doubt Mullen is happy at State. I'm simply stating that if the right offer came along, he might consider it.

He would not leave to go to Clemson, if he leaves it will be to an elite program. Mullen has a young kid and is starting a family, he's not going to uproot them to go to s light step above where he is now.

That's why I said "just an example". Honestly, I see him staying put for a couple more years.

Well the best thing going for State is the class of 2009, they've been a great group from the start and probably give Mullen a lot of confidence for the future. That's what will happen with any coach when he starts with such a great class.

There's no slight step above when regarding MSU and Clemson...even if they are in the ACC.

They're a mediocre program in a state raped by other teams in terms of recruiting. I'm not saying State is a power or anything like that, but when Mullen moves on it will be to an elite program. Clemson is not elite.

I dont think he will leave. He has no personal ties to other programs, he is already in the sec and i dont see him leaving unless its to another sec program.

But i also believe it would be hard to leave a program (if he starts winning) that he brought out of the crapper and made competitive just to go a program that would can your arse for a 8 and 4 season.

He could win six games every yr at state and throw in a 8 or 9 win season every now and then and have the best job security in the country.

Pank's just sore that we're going to win the egg bowl and steal their recruits.

Did I ever say that you did? Geez, Auburn fans are right. You guys get butthurt quick.

Clemson has a solid football program. I never said they were elite but MSU is FAR from elite.

I never said we were elite.

Mullen can build a 'solid program' here, he won't be able to build an elite one.

The following is a list of recruits that have de-committed since the JSU loss.

yeah, they're all going to decommit within the span or 72 hours.

you're delusional if you don't think that loss had/will have an effect on recruiting.

One game won't sway recruits like that. They'll be looking at the entire body of work.

Recruits look more at how they'll play and if they can get to the league. The recruits won't give a shite about that game when we make it to a bowl again.

Cody Prewitt said it best "So Ole Miss had one bad game. So what"

A loss to a D1AA team is a pretty damn big deal, and you can bet the State coaches won't let those recruits forget about it. A loss in the egg bowl and State getting to a bowl wouldn't make things any easier.

And before you say anything about the Egg Bowl, I'm going to be confident about that game until Nix shows he can stop an offense like our's. Good DC he may be, but his adjustments are lacking.
