Same was said about Saban we he rolled into BR from Michigan State in 2000. He was considered a norther coach from the big ten and most said he wouldn’t fit in in the SEC and LSU. He was considered hard on coaches and couldn’t keep assistants. Well, look how that turned out. I remember. Do you?

The Saban comparisons are apples and oranges. Saban had never held a big time job at that job. BK has over a decade at one of the biggest traditionally. Y'all want to act like he's Sunbelt Billy, even as you said Sunbelt Billy wasn't good enough for the job.

We'll be fine. CBK will be fine. He took over an LSU program with 40 players and is rebuilding. We won with Saban, Miles and Orgeron. We'll be fine.

Saban came from Michigan State. Not exactly college football royalty but definitely not someone fresh out of the WAC. He was coming off of a season where MSU went 10-2 including wins over Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State and Florida in the Citrus Bowl. Suffice to say that he was well on his way to becoming a major player in the coaching ranks when LSU nabbed him.
