True but unlike a school that is just down I-85, Dabo has at least developed a couple of very serviceable QB's.

Clemson's entire run has been based on QBs that could carry their teams paired with some nasty defenses. However, if you take QB away they aren't title contenders. Just one of many good teams.

Trevor Lawrence is extremely overrated. He has talent yes, but he isn’t an offensive genius, and he didn’t need to be because the ACC is so bad. He rarely ever had to make more than one read. These deficiencies showed in the playoffs the past two years.

Right now you need a qb that can win a national title, in the past, you just needed one that wouldnt lose you a national title.
