Jonathan Crompton's 305 first-half passing yards are the most in a half since the inception of Tennessee football.
He also had five touchdowns, and was 21-27

what time do you guys play ole mess?

I agree. I am very impressed with his progression. The kid was being crucified in the first few games and his Dad was being heckled in the stands. The Vols are building a program up here and will be a perennial contender once Kiffin gets a couple of his classes on campus. He has made me a believer.

So what does that make y'all now 5-4?
One more win and you are bowl eligible. Nice Job!!

The fact that this coaching staff can make Crompton look good, is an amazing feat, almost a miracle.

I actually think Crompton is a good quarterback but he just hasn't had the coaching and the confidence until now.

it aint the coaching staff that is making him look good...see here is the way i see things....he may have good stats but where are the W's...he hasnt impressed me at all this year or even this half for that matter

Yeah, gotta feel good for the guy. He has taken alot of crap. I didn't know anything about his dad being heckled. It's sad fans would even do anything like that. Hopefully he can keep up the good work and end his career on a good note.

It is a rebuilding year, coming up from the depths

i will say crompton is a good QB when he gets those numbers againtst a strong Deffense and not a C-USA team

Still leads the SEC in TD passes..Who would ever have thought it?...That was supposed to be a murderer's row stretch against Georgia,Bama and South Carolina,..CLK goes 2-1 and is a FG away from being 3-0...Nobody here thought we would have that record..and we beat Ole Miss Saturday..

His game has definitely improved! Those numbers are impressive, even if it was against Memphis.

I was bragging on y'all. You could have never made me believe Tennessee would have won 5 games this year at the start of the season. I think tenn is awesome and I predict Crompton will go early in the first round.

Tennessee will be worse next year than they are this year. The o-line will be gone, Berry will be gone, Crompton will be gone.
Next year will be another rebuilding year. I give Kiffin 3 years at Tennessee and the fans will be ready to run his arse out of town.
Next year will be 4 in a row and we will whip y'alls arse in Knoxville, that is more fun than winning at home to me. I love to watch the hillbilly's flee the stadium.
Rammer Jammer has a nice echo in an empty stadium.
