Although he would be the last person you would expect to be named offensive player of the week the guy deserved it.

Seriously. My feelings re: Crompton have gone from massive frustration to empathy. Fans are brutal.

I am being an optimistic homer here, but I think that maybe -- just maybe -- the staff figured out how to call plays to Crompton's strengths. He is sooooooo much better on the play-action roll-out than when he drops that. So it is not surprising that he did better when he was rolling out on the large majority of the passing plays. It is a little surprising that he did *so much* better. It was almost like watching a different guy.
