I know OP was trolling but there is no way Saban would pull a Steve Spurrier unless it had something to do with his health. People can spin it any way they want but Spurrier literally quit on his team. Took his ball and went home because he was losing. I never was a big Spurrier fan but I lost all respect for him after that.

Unless he has a major health issue, he isn’t stepping down during the season.
At most he might announce that he is retiring at season’s end. But he’s coaching the rest of the season.
