Maybe. LSU just doesn't have nearly as many greats overall, though.

LSU's all time starting five blows everyone out of the water.

Kentucky does have a lot of depth though.

Could be, but Ky fans aren't through considering their 1000 or so All SEC players to choose from.

Exactly. Most of which came way before elite players necessarily went to the NBA. It was just a different time. LSU has hit a few home runs, but that's all they really have.

I left chris porter of my list on purpose due to his off the court issues while playing ball at Auburn. If memory serves me correctly he was suspended for a portion of His last season at auburn

No one will compare LSU to UK in hoops. But LSU's top 5 are amazing. Sure,UK has tons of All-Americans but some of those people up in the rafters are suspect?

What's your point?

I'm not denying that LSU's top 5 are amazing, but I'm also pointing out that they don't have much else, and all those players came about in the modern (or semi modern) era where elite players go to the NBA. Some of UK's greatest players are from the 40s-50s. You really can't compare them to modern day talent, much less pretend to put them on the same team as players from the modern era.

And if I remember correctly, fans and "experts" voted. Almost all of the experts picked us to win, but the fans picked UNC and we lost.

I think they also selected a 10 player roster for each school

Correct.

All time means all time. Bob Pettit played in the 50's. No one is saying any program is better, or even with in shouting distance of UK's. Don't be so sensitive.

Then I guess I don't understand the point of this thread, if the point is to throw together 5 guys from any random era. Maybe I read too much into it regarding player compatibility.
