Auburn is literally a bastard city. Nobody wants to claim it as being in their state. Can’t say I blame them.

Right, a degree from the Wharton School of Business is inferior to an Auburn undergraduate Mechanical Engineering degree.

I don’t give a shite where you went to school, and never claimed you did not go to UGA. Just noted your chest puffin, that is all.

Dude, are you serious? The entry requirements for UGA are much higher. The average GPA and SAT/ACT scores for incoming freshman are much higher. All you need is a 2.0 GPA and a 19 on the ACT to get into the University of Alabama. Your State is so poor and your University is so shitty that you take everyone that applies.

First of all, I never said UGA's entry requirements are less than UA's. I only said that UA has more top students than UGA. It is a fact. It also has more of the lower tier students so that should make you feel better. But my point was that somehow, amidst all the negative things you cite about the state of Alabama, UA AND Auburn both attract a lot of very very good students. And no, UA is not open admissions. I wish it had higher standards, but it is just ignorant to claim that anyone can get in. Over the last ten years or so, UA has rejected from 50 to 58% of all applicants each year . LINK /

Check the rankings. UGA is a good school. Auburn and Alabama are terrible schools located in a terrible state. It’s funny how y’all claim that I never went to UGA. Nobody for a second claims that y’all didn’t go to Bama or Auburn because literally everyone who applies gets into Bama and Auburn.

False. Won't someone please educate this arrogant UGA fool? See below to see how wrong you are about UA's supposedly open admissions policy. In 2011, UA accepted only 43.5% of applicants. Last year, the applicant class was more qualified, but the acceptance rate was still only 59.1%. You just got schooled.

When you go to the University of Alabama, making concessions is a way of life.

And going to UGA means you will never say you are wrong even when you are clearly wrong?

By the way, the USNWR rankings punish schools like both UA and Auburn that offer generous merit aid to a higher percentage of students. It is bizarre I know, but they literally do.

It's also one of the fastest growing and most desired cities in Alabama. Jason Dufner has a little shack there too.

The dining options in Auburn got really legit the last four years I was there (and even before because Amsterdam and Acre were always a great option) but until Crepe Myrtle Café Corp we back there will always be something missing

But yeah you can tell lots of people are moving there just by peeking at the real estate prices. It’s gotten truly insane.
