Whatever... I guarantee you.. if It was Bama at 6-0. No one here would have a problem with it.
This is a horseshite argument.

First of all, this "if" cop out is just plain stupid. The fact of the matter is that Bama will play 11 games and tOSU 6. Not even close.
Secondly, Bama has beaten two top 10 teams, 3 if they beat Florida.

And, to be crowned conference champion, having played only five games prior to the conference championship game, is a joke. It's a meaningless title.
At some points, what does it matter if you played a few more games if those games were against teams that aren't any good?
Both teams will have faced two Top 20 opponents, and every other opponent not even in the Top 30. So the fact that A&M played 3 extra games against teams not even in the Top 30 is supposed to outweigh a Conference Championship?

Conclusion....affirmative.

The only way the top 4 changes is if Ohio St loses to Northwestern. Alabama and Notre Dame are in. Only thing that changes if they lose is the order.
If OSU & Clemson lose, OSU is out, Clemson at 4 will play Bama and ND will play #3 A&M

No one is saying there would be a 3rd ND-Clemson game. The playoff would be Bama-Clemson and Notre Dame-Ohio State.
I don't agree with this presumption at all. The committee has no directive to avoid rematches in the playoff and the notion that it would be less interesting or profitable and therefore cynically avoided doesn't hold water.
If Clemson beats ND I think its actually more likely than not that they rematch in the 2-3 game, Of all the other teams, only Ohio St could be argued above the #4 seed, there simply is no way you put A&M, Cincinnati, or anyone else ABOVE a Notre Dame team that's only loss is against a team they also beat. Ohio St only has the eye test going for it, and even if they smoke Northwestern, I think its quite a stretch to say they have earned seeding over said ND team. Now the committee may do it, because the committee is populated by arrogant SOBs who don't feel the need to be consistent. they've exposed that badly this year by largely ignoring the dramatic differential in games played, which is something they have mentioned in previous years as an excuse to downrank teams that had played fewer games at the time of the weekly ranking. But resume vs resume, I dont think you can honestly say Ohio St is even close to 3 over Notre Dame.

I think Clemson with their seasoned QB would defeat A&M but I am no Vegas insider.
