Fair enough. I get that, but there are a great many figures of speech that are borne of unpleasant subject matter. I’m not saying that makes any particular thing acceptable or not acceptable, just that it’s a universally commonplace concept. I suppose it’s a side effect of a desensitized world.

Bama is soft . Got away from what made them good . Physical on both sides of the ball & a strong running game were their trademark . Even as an LSU fan , I always knew no matter how class the score eventually Bama would pound the other team into submission in the late 3rd & 4th qtr .
