Why did Thamel just release this now

Probably because Thamel was working on getting confirmation from the "four SEC basketball coaches who confirmed the exchange."

It's called reporting.

why does he only do pieces on Auburn?

He doesn't. That's just your paranoid perception.

only for august to come around and still nothing.

Nah, we'll turn our attention to whoever the story is about, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Miss St. Whoever.

It's gonna be fun either way, but keep holding that rope that the story isn't about Auburn.

I remember when I was banned and the Cam news first came out.. Everyone on here was making stupid arse threads like this. Everyone was like, "Death penalty in 3 weeks!!!"

To think, we still have these threads after all this time ...

I love how Thamel, who has egg all over his face with the Cam Story, come out of hibernation after 6 months of silence. All he can do is quote another coach at the meeting, what happened to all his connections at the NCAA. Who here believes (besides the bammmers) that Chizik peppered the NCAA on an investigation on his school in an OPEN forum. Then telling all other schools that the NCAA Investigation was hurting his recruiting.

Boo-hoo. If the story coming out in August is about Auburn, and is supposedly is, what will you say?

Chiz seems pretty confident AU didn't do anything.

And his actions in that meeting completely contradict this perception. If there is nothing to worry about then why is he going out of his way to ask about it in a forum where that kind of inquiry isn't really typical? He sounds like some dumb 6 year old who asks his mom if she found a mess in the living room in the hopes that he has escaped punishment.
