Without the BIG 10 championship game last night the top 4 would be Clemson, OU, UGA and Wisconsin. Teams had the chance to play themselves out of the playoffs or play their way in. Well, expect 1 but that horse is already dead. Something is wrong with that scenario.

Without the championship game(s) it would have been Clemson, Auburn, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. But they have to fix the formula or teams won't care if they drop a conference game. It will be like the NFL benching their best players after making the playoffs.

Nah, that mattered. Just not as much as getting the shite kicked out of you by 31 on top of another loss. Roll damn Tide, buddy

The fun part is that you just never know how the committee will choose. I’m excited as hell to see Bama in the playoff for four straight years. I’ve been having the time of life as a football fan for damn near a decade.

Not really. The rule should be firm, u either win it or u don't make the CFP!
HOW DID ALABAMA GET IN AGAIN! In cases like that give it to teams like undefeated teams.

They only matter if there is a stipulation that you must win your conference to make the play-offs. If there is no such stipulation, conference title games are absolutely a DETRIMENT to the teams having to play them.

that's the truth. the only difference a CCG makes is giving a team that needs a bump one last chance or a team that doesn't need it an opportunity to slip up with one extra game. it's just another game and they all matter.
