I'm not sure what UT returns in the secondary, but I know we'll have to run the ball a lot more in that game to win. If Bray and those WRs get the ball a lot they'll do damage if they target the new guys
Everyone returns from our secondary.
We lost Malik Jackson(DT) and Austin Johnson(MLB, converted FB).

I expect him to have a few 300 yard games. One problem last year was his deep touch. I've seen numerous reports about how Nuss helped his mechanics in his deep touch motion.
He had one game, even close, to 300 yards passing last year and you expect 3-4 of them this year. All that plus you think ELacy will put up TRich numbers. I guess this will be the bet Bama offense of all time. Who are these receivers that he is throwing to?

Same, except I think he'll complete 70% of his passes. Yes he'll go down field a lot more, but he'll also get big chunks of yards just by checking down to Hart and Yeldon.
So you think he'll throw far more times AND increase his compl %? Man you have to be the biggest homer on this board.

People also bust his balls about calling out the Jets lockerroom, but what is he supposed to do? He's there to play football. Not get paid.
He is a rookie , benchwarmer. He is supposed to shut his mouth.

AJ is the best QB in the SEC and it will be provent his year.

No he isn't. But you know that. He is definitely top 5 , but with Bama's oline and rbs, he will never put up All- SEC numbers.

Look it's the biggest dumbass on the board.
Go back to the Tiger Rant, Rantard.
He won't throw far more times, he'll throw deep a bit more, but he'll throw about the same number of passes. He led the SEC in completion percentage last year, and with a more talented group of WRs and a better O-Line, how would he not do the same?

Saban didn't let him loose except in the final game of the season, AND he has more weapons, AND his O-Line is better. Wow you're a dumbass. But I guess you know about Alabama than Alabama fans.
Eta : Lacy will put up about 1400 yards and 12 TDs if he gets around 240 carries. He won't cross 1600.

He is a QB, and a born leader. If the thugs in the Jets lockerroom don't like it then who gives a shite? They didn't make the playoffs.

He's the most accurate QB in the SEC. He's not the best. Tyler Wilson is the best. Murray has the next best numbers, but this year it'll be a three way battle between Murray, McCarron, and Bray to determine who will be second best. Franklin won't match his lolBigXII numbers, and Mett hasn't played a significant down yet.
Rantard.

so there's no way he can battle for top 3 in the conference? is that what you're trying to say?

No, but even though I think he will be in 2013, it's foolish to think he'll be a top 3 QB in the SEC his first year as a starter.

Comments such as "Horrible thread" will be pointless as they will be ignored or RA'd. If you do not wish to see McCarron’s stats on the road compared to his stats at home, then this is not the thread for you and you should just leave now. Here is hoping for a friendly discussion, and potentially more SEC QB comparisons.***

Of course not, but it's foolish to put him into the conversation right now.

He has a lot of ground to make up but he's certainly capable and has more than enough talent around him to get to that level.

I agree. Though he won't do it this year in all likelihood.
