Schiano was given a summary execution by a jury of his "peers", hung, drawn and quartered. Nice job hillbillies.
Now I personally don't think Schiano would have been a great hire as far as Ws & Ls. But his name never really surfaced during the Penn State investigations. Trust me, the investigation exhausted all possible leads and interviewed hundreds because of the media frenzy involved.
Unfortunately, with todays social media...will we now see fanbases scream to the skies if a certain coach is being considered for HC? How much pressure is now being leveled at ADs to make HC hires to appease the peanut gallery?
Hmmmm in the future we may see huge salaries with buyout clause contracts for ADs?

Gus Malzahn was a HS coach in 2005. He's also the reason that Auburn has been to 2 NC games and made this year's CFP in the last 8 seasons.

-did bad at Tampa Bay
-is hated by his players
-was identified in court as having covered up pedophilia (whether he did or not is irrelevent, just the possibility that he may have is a detraction)
-DC Ohio state
Pruitt
-DC Alabama, Georgia, Florida State
-has coached multiple national championship defenses (alabeit he didnt build Florida State's)
-is a clean slate HC wise
-is possibly insane
Pruitt isn't any worse than schiano (bonus for not having been named in court of allowing pedophilia to ocurr)

It's good to see some in the media get it. Pruitt may crash and burn badly, but he's 100x better than Schiano.
