54,
Your man sounds like a great guy and your daughter knows where it is during basketball season...
What is the association of Kentucky with the Hubby to be True Blue?

The Vanderbilt game is 1,000 times more important than the UK game. We really need to Vandy and leave Lexington 3-2. That would set us up nicely to finish at worst 10-6 IMO.

I would be slightly disappointed in 10-6. Really hoping Bama can get to 11-5 at least. Would love to be in a position to be favored in a first round NCAA tournament game as a 7 seed or higher.

UK might be the only fan base in the SEC to get excited when roundball comes around.
I hope LSU wins in basketball but could really care less.

Cats win by 8-15. Too tough of a stretch as Bama only gets 1 day to prepare after playing Vandy

I'm not saying that's what we'll end up at, but beating Vanderbilt would make it possible to finish there at worst. I think 10-6 gets us a 7 seed and 11 or 12 wins will get us the 6th seed.

Yeah, I'm mainly thinking about the Vandy game.
As far as UK, I'd expect Grant to substitute liberally to keep tons of defensive pressure and make the game as choppy as possible. Will be a tall order to keep UK from scoring more against the press than Alabama can create turnovers though.
On the offensive end, the main hope is that Green knocks down some 15-18 and makes good passes from outside the lane to pull the defense out. Like some posters above said, it'll certainly take Lacey, Releford, Steele and Randolf knocking down some big 3's along with UK getting to too highlight pass happy against the pressure to make it a winnable game.

Born in Western KY. Never saw a FB game until he went to college. He went to Murray in the early 60s, still didn't see one.
He drives the 5th wheel during FB season. I try to see that he gets tickets when UK comes to T-town

Bundy laughs at this. He gets turned on by basketball more than any UK fan on this site.

Nope. Tennessee, state, Florida, Arkansas, and bama fans all care.
We all know that LSU fans are embarrassed of their basketball team and refuse to claim them, but we don't need yall telling us in every basketball thread.

In all seriousness, we probably matchup best with Kentucky out of anyone in the SEC besides Florida and Miss St.
IMO, this lineup would give us the best chance to win:
Releford vs Teague - adv UA
Randolph/Lacey vs Miller/Lamb- adv UK
Mitchell vs Kidd-Gilchrist- even
Green vs Jones- adv UA
Gueye/Jacobs vs Davis adv UK
I think we will keep it close, and could even have a shot to win.

WTF?

MKG is going to outwork Mitchell.

I think Kidd-Gilchrist is more complete and consistent within UK's team play than Mitchell is within Alabama's. Adv - UK.
Also I think UK's advantages are more pronounced than Bama's advantages, especially Davis over Gueye/Jacobs - that is an extreme mismatch to me. I hope I am wrong.

I just think they'll score about the same # of points any given night
MKG is the better player though. I just think Grant and staff will be able to find a way to contain him.

We have Vandy first. Need to take care of business at home then look at KY.

Did you miss the part where I said I didn't care two shits about basketball?
Honestly I care about the LSU football and baseball teams.
