I’m late to the party....A&M is not a better job than Auburn or Tennessee. It’s not even close really. But overall, the top 10 looks about right, it’s all subjective at this point.

Maybe it's just a personal thing with me, but I dont think FSU should be at 7. But I admittedly hate FSU, so...

It's definitely top 10.

Florida State should dominate the ACC more than Flprida should dominate the SEC. If they were in the SEC along with Florida, it would be a different story

UCLA should be higher. Definitely ahead of A+M

UCLA should be ahead of Oregon.

Oregon basically has to recruit in UCLA's backyard to be successful

ATM is the most overrated school on the list.

Show me on the doll where the Yell Leader touched you. I find it funny that you are getting so pissy about a list complied by asking coaches what their opinions were. Sorry they don't like your school

I heard an interview with Barry Switzerl a few years ago, and he totally dismissed the idea that your cult had some enormous potential. I will take his word over the people who contributed to this poll. This is especially true since we don't know who did contribute to this poll

Of course Switzer said that, he was working with an unlimited payroll for players while we were under sanctions

Should be #1. Is there another program listed in the top 15 that wouldn't have fired Richt by now?

I thought the SEC Rant says we overpay Sumlin for so-so results? Seems like that would give us a boost on how attractive our job is.

But I guess ole Aggy can't have anything positive even if that means logical contradictions. That bit never gets old.

I think having to directly recruit with Texas, Baylor, TCU, and LSU may have something to do with it.

Prior to our SEC move I might have agreed with him. After the SEC move Aggy is the unstoppable sleeping giant that is taking the place in the national pecking order from the program Barry built.

Why?

Texas and LSU are tough sure. But Texas has a lot of talent and we can't sign them all, nor should we if we can get some out of the state talent like Speedy and Kirk.

Baylor and TCU are non-factors in recruiting. Even after their amazing seasons they can't get inside the top 20 of recruiting. Soon as those coaches leave they will fall back into the pit.

We are the only SEC team in Texas. Any recruiter worth a damn can do something with that.

I think this list is all wrong.

IMO, the proof is in the pudding: When a school needed a coach, who could they get?

When UTw needed a coach they floundered about for a month, became a national laughingstock while whiffing on all of their offers, and ended up with their 10th candidate, a midget who barely speaks english, who was immediately belittled by their biggest donor.

When Michigan needed a coach they hired Harbaugh.

I rest my case.

Any school that has to sell conference pride as a major part of their recruiting pitch is not the 11th best job. The Aggies will likely start to get diminishing results with that pitch once Texas starts to win again

Just saying. There's a reason that Georgia, LSU, and OSU will be at the top for a long time to come.

Agreed. That is why a MSU is further down the list than us. We sell the SEC, top 5 facilities, top 5 attendance, an amazing talent base in a small radius, the propensity to overpay coaches, the propensity to accept so-so results, and the fact that we are the only non-Big 12 (aka the worst major conference) Power 5 team in Texas. All that makes us top 15 for sure.

What does Texas have to do with it? They will be good again someday, but that doesn't knock us out of the top 15. Hell many people on this thread argue FSU is top 10 even though Florida is top 5. How come we can't be top 15 if Texas is top 5? I know your answer (Aggy) and its ridiculous long-term.

What Texas does or doesn't do doesn't scare me. What would scare me would be OU getting the $100 million donation they need to not get Ronald Reagened by us. That isn't happening, which means from here on out we will have better facilities and be in a better conference than them.

The FSU of Texas deserves to be a top 15 job. Once OU screws up the post-Bob hire, and we are in the top 10 of revenues, then even you won't argue that we stole back our birthright from Barry.
