so, basically all of that aggie money is thru a building project, and after they finish they drop to their rightful place, 15-20

Yes, their chief financial officer even admits in my linked article that their finances will eventually "normalize."
Give aggy a little rope and they will hang themselves every time. The cult parrots the superficial message then has to eat a big bag of doo doo.

Every school on the list is reporting to the same standard.

True, but only aggy is a half-billion dollars in debt and having their revenues inflated from proceeds of a $320 million bond sale, hotel taxes and student fees.

I just can’t believe Aggy hasn’t built a statue for the player responsible for their shiny things.

They can build it next to a statue of Jackie Sherrill.

They're still the wealthiest school in the SEC, so there is that.
Top 100 richest universities/university system in North America; or at least as of July 2018
#7 aTm
#24 Vandy
# 64 UF
#65 Mizzou
#72 Alabama
#76 Kentucky
#86 Tennessee
#90 Georgia
For public universities, athletic department revenue and donations are typically managed through a private foundation. So, a rich school does not mean a rich program, and a poor school does not mean a poor program.
Still though, seems odd they aren't top 10. They need to grow their brand and shake some of those rich alumni trees a bit more to move past #12.
More surprising is Clemson. Given their recent football successes, you'd think they would at least be top 15. I expect all of the Clemson gear selling in Louisiana this year will give them a boost in next year's rankings.

almost as embarrassing as Texas aTm adding medical branch research from around the State of Texas to their college station main research numbers to inflate their research numbers

Yes, it’s all due to stadium debt, and has nothing to do with
quote:
And indeed, from 2014 through the 2016-17 season, the Texas A&M athletic department earned $260 million in contributions, nearly double what any other school made in that time. For reference, in those years, Texas had total athletic contributions of $123 million; Florida, which ranks second in the category, totaled contributions of $138 million. Texas A&M, meanwhile, allocated $119 million of its total contributions just to the football team. Texas A&M’s rise to the top isn’t just from alumni contributions, though. The team ranks third in ticket revenue, averaging some $41 million per year, and it’s sixth in money from royalties and licensing. And the 2012 move to the SEC certainly hasn’t hurt – the conference’s most recent revenue distribution was $41 million per member school while Big 12 programs each received just $34 million from their conference.

Bull. That is a system-wide endowment. Aggy-Collie Station does not have a larger endowment than Vanderbilt.
Moreover, by Texas law, none of that money can be spent directly on athletics.

No way we drop to 15-20 because the new stadium we built brings in more revenue.
I expect us to end up around 5-10 in revenue when all is said and done.

Psst... Aggy...
Your athletic department operational expenses are less than $150 million annually.
Your chief accountant says you broke even or lost a little money.
Go check out which schools have bigger budgets.

Literally nothing you say has any meaning.
You’re a shameful, bold face liar in here or incredibly stupid and believe the literary diarrhea you spew. I tried having this conversation with you in another thread about A&M’s endowment and in the face of facts and figures you still cling to your story. Which, BTW, is only your story given it is not backed up with any evidence whatsoever.
It’s absolutey disingenuous.

Screw you, aggy. I'm using facts, figures and quotes that come directly from your reported numbers, as well as your chief accountant.
