I could definitely see why Texas fans would be rooting against LSU, as an 8th title would only further the gap between two similar historically successful programs.

If I had 100 coins to divy out towards NCAA sports based on importance, I’d do it like this:
60- football
25- men’s basketball
10- baseball
2- softball
1- gymnastics
2- all others combined

Baseball is at least 4th behind women's college basketball. Just look at the attendance and TV, it's not even close. Might be behind track.

You left out women’s basketball. The WNBA draft viewership this year doubled the MLB draft. Baseball is a dying sport .
