I mean OSU is the sole superpower in the B1G, OU in the B12, Clemson in the ACC, and Bama has won 5 of the last 8 SEC titles - and all are favored to win again this year. It is how CFB works these days.

Also Clemson is a poorer school (
It's not poor in FB terms (gate receipts, donations and TV $$)
USC doesn't even draw 60k and the Pac 12 TV money is the worst in P5.They barely crack the top 25 in AD revenue.

Lol. C’mon man. Everybody respects the hell out of Clemson man, but you need to give up the obfuscation. Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan are ALL better than the number two ACC team. Face it- you play in an uncompetitive league and are the sole league bully. Meanwhile , the SEC has three teams alone that account for ten of the last 16 national championships. We have a grind, you have a cakewalk. Your biggest challenge is staying motivated. Bama, LSU, Auburn etc don’t have that luxury. Imagine having to play Georgia, LSU and Alabama EVERY year. It’s a bit different than playing Louisville, Wake and BC every year.

I believe our endowment is in the bottom 10 of all P5 schools

I don’t disagree. I do know that Bama made the playoffs in 2017 without beating any great teams (I think the best team they beat was 9-4 MSU in the lead up to the playoff). The ACC sucks, but it sucked last year too. And...in the playoffs (last year) Clemson still showed up and slaughtered one of the best Bama teams ever.
The SEC East has been crap over the last few seasons as well. I think Clemson would have run the table on that side of the league more years than not over the last 5 seasons.

How about this . You and Oklahoma join the SEC. You draw OU as your permanent West team and play UGA, UF and OU EVERY year plus some years where you also get Alabama or LSU. Life would be a lot different, huh? 12-0 just got a helluva lot harder. Plus the team that beat you takes your playoff spot 90% of the time. You’d feel a lot different about BC or Louisville Breezing through the ACC and getting in to the playoffs, right?

I’d support that deal. The increased competition and extra tv revenue would add a ton of value to our program. The SEC East isn’t really a thing that great and I’d love to play UGA every year.
