Wow. No FCS schools will take a pay day?

I'm sure Mizzou will have a FCS every year, the issue is you can't have more then one, that will destroy your SoS.

I believe the NCAA don't allow more than one.

Could Mizzou play BYU?
With them being Independent they should have several games to fill each year. I'm sure something could be worked out and it would be better than Wyoming or some team like that.

A couple of points here; Dave Matter (beat writer for Mizzou from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch) said today that the Toledo game was scheduled prior to SEC move, so we can't blame Toledo on them. As many have noted, Pinkel coached Toledo for 10 years and is in their HOF; he's basically going home.
Wyoming is where Mizzou's old OC Dave Christenson went to become a head coach which is probably why Mizzou agreed to that game in the first case, but now that Christenson isn't there anymore I'd be surprised if it gets played.
The move to The SEC really messed up the schedule, as did The SEC hemming and hawing on whether to do an 8 or 9-game conference schedule, but to be honest Mizzou's Power 5 conference scheduling philosophy has been extremely conservative the last 10 years or so. We scheduled Illinois in the non-con for several years and they were awful (can't do much about that) but the Power 5 opponent for now is Indiana and in a couple of years we do a home/home with Purdue. Those are not really series that move the needle.

A&M I believe played two in their first year in the SEC. I could be wrong though.
You can do it, but the NCAA only recognizes one FCS team as a win. So if you play two FCS games, you'd actually have to win 7 games to even be bowl eligible.

I understand about the move screwing you guys over. I was trying to find potential opponents that would work.
BYU- is Independent and might could fill a void. It isn't an attention grabber but is a decent gap filler.
Kansas- even though they are a different kind of terrible I hate it for the fans that got cheated out of the rivalry. I'm not sure the Big 12 would let this happen.
A B1G team- I noticed Indiana mentioned. Iowa or Nebraska would be solid OOC games. Nebraska was Big 12 North with y'all before realignment.
Colorado- They are terrible but there might be some kind of leftover interest since they are a former division rival also.
I'm not sure how realistic any of those are because I don't know the Missouri situation but there seems to be some possibilities out there.

They are too chickenshit to play us yet. It'll probably happen again, but not until the can field more than a 3 win team.

as mentioned, should just pay the buyout and then pay Stetson and SDSU or someone to come in for that game.
If we get the Illinois game back we play that as an away in STL or a 1-1-1 format, home, away and neutral site.
We have the SEC money to fix some of this mess up.

yea we know Pinkel is a big Toledo homer and if we get up by 2 scores on them he will be looking to take his foot off the gas. we'll see if that move bites him in the azz.

Memphis as a road game isn't that bad. State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Arky have all played there in the past 10 to 20 years.
