I've always liked Eli, but I'll admit that his pbp is lacking sometimes. Stewart seems like a good choice to replace him and he's done a good job in bball coverage.

Nope - Stewart got that gig as well.
Personally, I'm glad to see Krauss gone from any official capacity. That guy's an a-hole and doesn't deserve to be elevated like he was.

Its obvious that Eli's best work is behind him. He is in the early stages of becoming a characture of himself. Almost get the feeling he is phoning it in. Chris Stewart, which I dont think has half the talent Eli had, does have some severe passion for the University. I like listening to him during Basketball games.

"First and ten, they will scrimmage from their own 25 yard line, going right to left on your radio dial. Bama in their home crimson jearseys with all white numerals and crimson helmets with the white paints and crimson trim. Handoff to Ingram, HUGE GAPING HOLE OFF THE RIGHT SIDE, gain of 2 to the 27 it will be 2nd and call it 8."

Eli is great if you listen to the entire game from start to finish and keep your own time and score.
Chris Stewart is a pretty nice guy,but he's mediocre at best.
Alabama has such a good communications school that I'm surprised they have such so-so announcers.

Chris is the only radio guy in football and basketball that I enjoy to listen to. Nothing about him is so-so or mediocre.
