It's an away game and they are wearing away game jerseys. What's the problem?

Wasn't it Tennessee that didn't let Auburn do the Tiger Walk?

I would punish those douchebags forever for that.

BTW... you know we didn't let them wear their puke-Orange jerseys this Saturday, right?

has to be agreed on by the visiting team. The Home team must first request the conference and get approval. Most teams allow it because of traditions and want to wear home jerseys mainly. LSU wears Purple at away games (i.e. MSU) as to keep the favor.

Are you sure about that? I think the home team can decide what jersey they wear.

What is up with LSU and purple jerseys? Are they bad luck or something?

Pretty positive.

"The rule allowing LSU to wear white at home has one stipulation: the visiting team must agree. On three occasions, LSU was forced to wear colored jerseys at home. The first time was in 1996 against Vanderbilt, who was still angry at LSU for hiring Gerry DiNardo, who left Vanderbilt to become LSU's head coach after the 1994 season. LSU wore gold jerseys for that game (a 35-0 LSU victory), and fans were encouraged to wear white in an effort to "white out" the Commodores. The second time was in 1999, Florida Coach Steve Spurrier refused LSU's request to wear the home white jerseys. The third time was in 2004, when Oregon State did want not to suffer in its black jerseys in the humid weather of Louisiana in late summer."

SEC rules say home team has sole discretion on the color of jerseys worn. The game must be between two SEC schools.

you are correct... the rule from the SEC was posted early this year on the Rant..

The NCAA rule says that the home team must get permission from the visitors to change.. the SEC rule, which trumps the NCAA rule during SEC play only, says that it is up to the home team..

LSU has no choice usually in Non-Conference games. That is why you will see the Sun Belt teams wear white when they come into BR.

LSU usually wears white at home. Officially white is the designated road jersey though. The visiting team has to agree not to wear their white jerseys in order for LSU to wear their's. Auburn apparently isn't going to do this, so LSU will have to wear purple or yellow.

Is that SEC rule new or did I just not know about it?
