This thread must be unlocked for humanity and the value of this site immediately!

It is imperative for psychological analytic study of the post millennial subject!

And it’s insane!

Ok, cool, play this out. Unless it’s a controlled access board it becomes a troll fest quickly. And lest say you have 24/7 moderation and they trolls kicked quick… you board turns into just a bunch of whiny little shits reporting everyone new and or everything they disagree with.

Little to no actual football commentary is done.

So let’s say you do a closed invite only board. With 1.00 a month subscription to cover the lack of clicks. You now have 7-10 people on a dead board.

Womp Womp.

Let's play it out this way.

It's a controlled access board in that everyone is allowed in, but if they continually troll, they get bans. The whiny little shits can report all they want, but the mods have enough common sense to ignore the stupid RAs.

True, moderation would be required a lot, but that's why you have a lot of mods who are willing to work for free because it's fun/they care about maintaining the board.

A free closed invite board would work. It'd be like the team boards.

Can’t be both. Someone gets kicked they just create a new account and go right t back in.

Like the current board?

If you could have that, then the main board would do that. The issue quickly becomes posters whine to moderators about nonsense and get mad when they are not taken seriously. I have had a a Gator and UGA poster RA stuff to me on the Vol board about Vol posters. I just deleted them and kicked the posters.

I feel like the answer to that is no because, as has been pointed and as I full well know, the appeal of the Rant is the Neanderthals throwing s*** at each other. If we want to talk football, and you start a serious thread, it quickly gets filled with dildos, drag queens, and other dumb, irrelevant things. If you still want to talk football, you have to wade through it and try to get the conversation back on track.
